Another theory claims that tiramisu was first served in a brothel in Treviso, offered to clients to “restore their strength” before returning home. A more modern story credits pastry chef Roberto Linguanotto, who is said to have invented tiramisu in the 1960s at the Alle Beccherie restaurant in Treviso.
