This little cookie is an irresistible indulgence.
The macaron originated around Venice in the 14th–15th centuries. Its name comes from the Italian word maccarone or maccherone, which at the time referred to any small sweet made with egg whites and ground almonds. Later, it became popular in France and has since grown into one of the country’s most iconic pâtisserie creations.
With this syrup, we wanted to delight macaron lovers – and perhaps even tempt those who haven’t tried it yet. If you don’t eat sweets but enjoy coffee, this is worth a taste.
Made with sugar and sweetener.
