ELDORADO Gingerbread 0.25L

The essential taste of Christmas
The very first gingerbread was most likely a porridge made from honey, flour, and water, dried on hot stones. By the 3rd millennium BC, various clay molds were already being used to shape these sweet treats. Both the ancient Greeks and Romans enjoyed this delicacy. From the 13th century onwards, gingerbread figures depicting religious scenes were crafted. The trade of “gingerbread making” was regarded as an honorary profession. In Hungary, during the Árpád dynasty, monasteries with their own beekeeping produced honey cakes.
